Wedding Photography FAQ!

 

You’re searching for your wedding photographer… What should you ask?  What do you need to know about them? Sometimes there are just too many questions to ask, and not enough time – so, I’ve compiled a couple of my most asked questions during the initial consultation that I hope will help!!

 

Are you the photographer that will shoot my wedding?

Of course I am!  What you see is what you get!  I’m not going to go through the entire process with you, and then send a complete stranger to capture this important day in your lives!  From the beginning, I want to be able to get to know the two of you, so that once your wedding day arrives, you are comfortable with me, you trust me, and I’m more like a friend showing up to capture your day!  No hidden surprises here!

 

What’s in your bag?

I like to carry most, if not all of the following (depending on the shoot/day): Canon 5D Mark II, 50mm f/1.2, 35mm f/1.4, 85mm f/1.2, 100mm Macro f/2.8, 70-200 f/2.8, Speedlite 580 EXII and tons of batteries, compact flash cards, etc!

 

Okay, so you say “unlimited hours”… but what do you really mean?

When I say unlimited hours, I truly mean unlimited hours!  I will start with the bride as early as she wants, and my second shooter will start with the groom as early as he wants… and then we are there until you kick us out at the end of the night!  We want to be able to capture that full story of your day, and you cant do that by missing the little details that happen throughout the day!

 

Who is your second shooter?

My second shooter is my hubby, Ryan!  (Without him, this company may be non-existent!)  He has so much fun starting the day with the guys, and capturing all the little details in between the big details of the day!  While I’m capturing one shot, he’ll be focusing either on a completely different shot, or the same shot from a different angle!  We try to be as dynamic as possible, and capture as much as we can!  If for some reason Ryan is unavailable, an equally as qualified shooter will be with me, capturing the exact same moments!

 

How many images will we get?

This is a very hard question to answer – and there is no specific answer to it.  It will depend on how long we are with you throughout the day, the time frame we have for formal pictures, how long your wedding is, etc.  Since the collections include unlimited hours and you can use us for as little amount of time or as much as you want, this number can vary extensively!

 

What do you mean by a disk of images?

Just that!  You will receive a disk of images taken on your wedding day!  They will be retouched so that none of the images are over exposed or underexposed – they will be just right for printing!

 

My venue requires a proof of insurance – Do you have that?

This is a very good question to ask!  Yes!  We are fully insured, and would be happy to provide a proof of insurance to your venue!

 

Do you shoot destination weddings?

Yes!  Please! and Thank you!  We absolutely love to travel across the states and around the world!  To be able to capture new destinations all the time is a dream of ours!  We will build the perfect destination wedding package surrounding the events that you have planned during your time there!  We love to capture this entire experience for you, your family and friends!

 

So, we like you… what now?

To officially book your date, we’d just need to know which Collection you like, any changes/customizations you’d like made to it, and a 25% deposit to hold your date!  The remaining balance will be due one month before your wedding!  Yay!  Let the fun begin!
